trick or treat

Halloween is so fun as a parent.  Here are some of our pictures.
Sophia with both the kidzers loot.
Heres what happens when mom gets to choose the costume.  I love this little lion.

Sophia with her cousin the zombie princess.  Sophia was actually a little scared of her for awhile.  Finally her cousin was like,"Soph its just me with make-up on. "  It was so funny.

Sophia and I had lots of fun making her broom.

He's Home!

After two years in Germany, my brother is home from his LDS mission.  What an awesome feeling it was to walk into my parent's kitchen and see him sitting at the table.  My favorite thing is his German accent.  It has been so nice having him back with our family when we get together.

Jacoby's first haircut

A couple weeks ago I decided I wasn't ready for my baby to grow a mullet!
This is the "before" picture. It was getting a little shaggy behind his ears.

And here is the "after" What a cutie:)

projects

Made these wall hangings by covering old wall hangings with fabric and paper. It was super fun and easy!

I needed something new to organize all Sophia's clippies and bows.
I started with these boards from the craft store. They were already sanded and ready to go.

Then I painted them with acrylic paint, and glued on some scrap book paper with a decopage glue.

Then I tied on some random ribbons...

And here is the finished product hanging in the bathroom.

I love that Sophia can choose which ones she wants!

Sippin' buddies

Jacoby is getting the hang of the sippy cup! He really loves it when he can get his hands on one of sister's "sicky" cups.

Easter Weekend

I know it was a loooong time ago...but...here are some pics from Easter weekend.
Sophia was so excited to make these chick cupcakes. She saw a picture and wanted to make them!
The finished product!
We went to an Easter BBQ at my uncle's house. This is a cute pic of her and Gma

Candy hunt! I love that Sophia found her clothes for Halloween and wanted to wear them on Easter*)-

how old are you?

Of course I want to remember this....
Last night I asked Sophia how old she was. She replied "three" Smart girl!
Then I asked her "How old is mommy?" After a little bit she said "four!" Cute!
Then I asked "How old is daddy?"
Sophia: "three"
Mommy: "How old is baby brother?"
Sophia: "three"

I guess I seem older to her....

What a mean April Fools trick!

Oh, the places you'll go!

I know there are tons of other blog posts out there with this title, but it seems so appropriate. Jacoby is not crawling on his hands and knees, but he is doing what I like to call the army crawl. He goes everywhere already. Of course his favorite places to go are the ones where he shouldn't be. He likes the litter box, the kitty food, behind the toilet, and the trash. Here are a few pics I got of him getting into stuff.

And of course Sophia still wants to get into this sometimes.

indoor garden

I think we all have spring fever at our house. To remedy this we planted some herbs for the windowseal. Can you guess what everything is? Hint:(the plants in the box on the right are all the same.) Oh, and you would be really good if you know the ones that haven't come up yet!

Pictures for Grandma and Grandpa

grab the camera

I take a lot of pictures, and I'm usually glad I do.

Saturday we woke up to a backyard full of snow. Justin and Sophia had a great time using most of it to build a snow fort.

Our cat keeps us entertained!

waffle

This was my attempt at making a fun Valentine's Day for Sophia. I made her a heart shaped (sort of) waffle. Believe it or not, it had chopped fresh strawberries and red food coloring in it. She ate one little square, and that was it. Maybe when she is older, she will appreciate these things more.
